- Infra-View® literature sheetPDF · 130 KBThe two-page overview: how the sensor reads hot CO₂, the 250°F to 3,000°F range, the cooled and purged jacket, and suggested installation locations on a boiler.
- Measuring FEGT in industrial furnaces (application note)PDF · 6.2 MBWhy furnace exit gas temperature matters, contact versus non-contact methods, the factors that skew a reading, and how Infra-View® is applied.
- Installation, operation and maintenance manualOn requestIssued with each unit and on request for existing installations, so the current revision always goes out.
- Calibration and maintenance guide / NIST certificateOn requestSensor calibrations and rebuilds are a service we provide; the guide and a NIST-traceable certificate are issued on request.
Installation, in outline
- Choose the port. Any door, port or penetration with a view of the gas path at the position you want to measure. We recommend positions from your boiler drawings.
- Mount the flange. The sensor arrives factory-assembled in its cooling jacket, pre-piped for air.
- Connect plant air. Customer-supplied compressed air cools the jacket and purges and filters the optical path.
- Wire the loop. Two-wire shielded cable into a 4–20 mA loop from the DCS or a recorder; the sensor is loop powered.
- Scale and alarm. Sub-scale the output to your range and set the deviation alarms in the DCS.
The manual governs. This outline is what to expect, not a substitute for it.
Sensor calibrations and rebuilds
Units in service come back to us for calibration against a reference furnace, and for rebuilds when a jacket or optics have had a hard life on the wall. A NIST-traceable certificate is issued with a calibration on request. Tell us the unit's serial number and where it is installed.
